Wade (Ryan Jordan) approaches the door of the soup kitchen. He attempts to open it and when he realizes it's locked he knocks gingerly. When nobody answers, he knocks harder and harder until he's banging on the door aggressively. After a barrage of bangs, he kicks the door in frustration, turns around so his back is against the wood/glass and slides down until his ass is resting on his feet. He sighs, 'Fuck' and looks defeated. He waits there for a moment before standing up and beginning to walk away. Just as Wade is about to leave, the door to the soup kitchen swings open and Micah (Romeo Davis) calls out, 'Can I help you?' Wade explains that he's there for food, and Micah tells him it's not one of the days when they receive their shipment.Wade takes inhales as if he's attempting to cope with the disappointment. Seeing the hunger and despair on Wade's face, Micah offers to take Wade back to his apartment to get something to eat. Micah leads Wade into his apartment/house and Wade compliments Micah on his place. Micah is humble about it saying it took him a long time to be in a position to afford to live anywhere but on the streets. Micah tells Wade to take a seat and that he'll bring him something to eat. As Micah prepares the food, he calls to Wade, asking him what's going on and how long he's been on the street. Wade tells Micah his story. After Wade eats, he stands up too and walks into the living room where he looks at the pictures of the handsome young men featured in each picture frame. He picks one up and stares at it for a moment. Micah comes up behind him, startling Wade a bit. Wade immediately placing the picture down. He asks Micah who the guys are and Micah responds that they're all guys who he's helped along the way and that have earned a special place in his heart. Wade smiles and picks up the only empty frame.
